The Association of Commonwealth Universities offers 10 grants of up to GBP 5,000 to undergraduate students at ACU member universities attending eligible short-term academic programmes at another ACU member institution in the Commonwealth.
AGNES Intra-Africa Mobility Grants for Junior Researchers: Up to EUR 3,000
Historical reference: doctoral candidates from sub-Saharan Africa could receive EUR 2,300 to EUR 3,000 for a one- to two-month research stay in another sub-Saharan African country. The 2025 call closed on 30 November 2025, and no 2026 round is published.
British Council Springboard Research Grants 2026: Up to £10,000 for UK–France, UK–Germany and UK–Spain Early-Career Research Partnerships
The British Council's Springboard 2026 call offers up to £10,000 per project — with a minimum of 38 grants expected — to fund a two-day partnership meeting, optional communication skills training, and optional one-week lab placements for teams of early-career researchers in the UK working with counterparts in France, Germany or Spain, ahead of a 30 September 2026 deadline.
